A sequência do time:

– Osasco Audax (20/3)
– Red Bull (24/3)
– Água Santa (27/3)
– Rio Claro (31/3)
– Corinthians (3/4)

O problema é vencer na Argentina o bom time do Rosario Central.

Salah has disaster against Fulham

Liverpool’s Premier League woes continued on Sunday afternoon as they suffered a sixth consecutive home defeat, this time at the hands of Fulham.

Jurgen Klopp swept the changes for his line up at Anfield but the gamble did not pay off, with Mario Lemina’s goal enough to see the visitors claim victory on Merseyside.

Not a single Red imposed themselves on the game with Xherdan Shaqiri one of those who faced criticism from a section of the fanbase.

However, it was one of the regular stars though, Mo Salah, who let the side down with a drastically poor performance.

Starting the game on the right-hand side of the Reds’ attack, he earned the lowest WhoScored rating of anyone on the pitch at just 5.32 – an inexplicable drop-off from his season average of 7.07.

Currently the Premier League’s top scorer with 17, the Egyptian did not look like he was going to get on the scoresheet at all, rarely even threatening Fulham’s staunch defence.

Throughout the 90 minutes, he could only get one shot on target and produced only a solitary dribble – statistics that do not do his £108m rating justice.

He also looked on a completely different wavelength to his teammates, completing just 23 passes throughout the game, which is again the lowest of all of the starting Liverpool players, including goalkeeper Alisson.

Salah’s frustration continued to grow throughout the game as he was also personally caught offside twice, which is the same as every player on the pitch combined.

To make matters even worse, he was dispossessed on three separate occasions – one of those giveaways even leading to the Fulham goal. As Salah attempted to turn on the ball in his own box, Lemina was just far too strong, stole the ball and fizzed it into the bottom corner of the Liverpool net.

For a player usually so composed and threatening, the Egyptian was a liability to his side on the day.

Jurgen Klopp will certainly be expecting more from his mercurial wideman. He maybe hoped that taking Salah off against Chelsea would have fired the forward up, but judging on this performance, it may have done the opposite.

Everton XI vs Leicester: Team and injury news, predicted line-up

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Lucas Digne will be fit to face Leicester City on Wednesday night but he will be without Abdoulaye Doucoure for the Foxes’ visit to Everton.

The Toffees will move to within three points of Brendan Rodgers’ side with a victory, but they have only won two of their last six home Premier League games after a 1-0 defeat to West Ham United on New Year’s Day.

Doucoure’s absence through suspension, after being shown a fifth yellow card of the league campaign in Everton’s 2-1 win at Wolves, will leave Ancelotti with a headache in the middle, knowing his side will lack their usual power considering Allan’s ongoing hamstring injury.

So, as Ancelotti seeks to claim three points, here’s a potential line-up the Italian could name at home to Leicester, with four changes from the XI which beat Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup…

Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was one of a handful of first-team regulars to be rested in the FA Cup against Sheffield Wednesday but he will expect to regain his place in the side, despite Robin Olsen recording a shut out on Saturday.

Michael Keane also watched the action from the bench over the weekend, and may now return to see Mason Holgate remain at centre-back to partner him after leading the defensive line superbly against the Owls.

Holgate featuring centrally will allow for Seamus Coleman to retain his place in the starting line-up but at the expense of Ben Godfrey, who will likely be forced out of the side with Digne confirmed as available after being passed fit for action.

Allan and Doucoure being unavailable to face Leicester has left Ancelotti with a headache over his engine room options so he will be expected to opt for a dual-pivot of Andre Gomes and Tom Davies with the Portuguese star impressing in the FA Cup and the £14.5m-rated academy product his usual stand-in of late.

Alex Iwobi missed the FA Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday but is back available for selection, yet he is likely to miss out on facing Leicester after James Rodriguez enjoyed great success in his free-roaming wide role against the Owls to record two assists.

Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin also featured in the cup win but saw their minutes managed, with Ancelotti taking the trio off before the final whistle as a likely sign that he will field an unchanged attack at home to Leicester.

Newcastle priced out of Kabak loan

Mike Ashley can end Steve Bruce’s defensive dilemma with a late Deadline Day deal for Newcastle United to sign FC Schalke 04’s Ozan Kabak.

What’s the word?

According to the Daily Mail, Bruce had sought to acquire Kabak on loan until the end of the season but the Toon deemed a move too expensive.

The 20-year-old has not missed a second of action across his Bundesliga side’s last 11 top-flight fixtures following a challenging start to the campaign, with Kabak seeing an indirect suspension result in a four game ban.

West Ham United and AC Milan have previously been credited with interest in Kabak after Schalke warmed to offloading the Turkey international for €15m (£13m), having accepted that the centre-half is one of few Die Konigsblauen could still demand a lucrative fee for.

Liverpool have also now entered the race for the defender, who Stuttgart sporting director Thomas Hitzlsperger lauds as a “role model”, with Sky Sports (Transfer Centre, 1/2, 10:21) claiming Kabak is prepared to undergo a medical in Germany if the two sides are able to agree on the terms of a deal with the Reds proposing a £2.5m loan fee.

He was formerly considered unsellable among the Schalke hierarchy, who recognised that the Gelsenkirchen outfit would have to sell some of their key players to fund arrivals in the winter market who could steer the club away from the relegation zone.

Should Newcastle pursue Kabak further?

Kabak would appear to have been an option very much on the market in the winter sales, with reports in Germany claiming Schalke were open to selling the 7-cap beast and reports in England suggesting Newcastle only walked away from a loan after hearing the financial terms needed.

But Bruce should not relent on his interest in the Turkish youngster and should urge Ashley to dig a little deeper to meet Die Konigsblauen’s demands, as Kabak could help solve the Toon’s defensive nightmare.

The Magpies have just lost captain Jamal Lascelles again after the centre-half sustained a hamstring injury in United’s win over Everton on Saturday, which is expected to keep him sidelined for several weeks.

Lascelles had only just returned to Premier League action 12 days prior following a lengthy period out after testing positive for coronavirus, and now joins Federico Fernandez in the medical room just as Ciaran Clark and Paul Dummett returned to training.

Newcastle’s spate of injuries have forced Bruce into fielding midfielder Isaac Hayden in the backline recently, but no such thoughts would cross the Magpies boss’ mind if Kabak were signed.

Despite Schalke’s torrid campaign that sees the Veltins Arena natives sit rock bottom of the Bundesliga, Kabak has been a star as he comfortably collects possession with 1.2 successful tackles and clears danger 3.9 times a game. He also wins a mammoth 4.1 aerial duels and 3.0 ground duels game, per SofaScore.

Only Fernandez (1.5) has been successful in as many tackles a game in the Premier League for Newcastle this season among Bruce’s current centre-halves, with Lascelles offering 0.83, Clark 0.82 and Fabian Schar 0.71.

Schar further offers fewer clearances (3.36), while no Toon defender wins as many ground duels or aerial duels with Fernandez (2.25 ground) and Clark (3.73 air) the top-performers.

Bruce faces a race against time to get Ashley to dig a little deeper and sign Kabak, but Newcastle would stand to benefit greatly from beating out Liverpool’s late interest and getting a deal done.

Leeds in transfer misery over Erick Pulgar

According to reports, Leeds United have cooled their interest in signing Fiorentina midfielder Erick Pulgar.

What’s the story?

Reports in recent weeks have claimed that the Chile international has been on the radar of Marcelo Bielsa’s side in this January transfer window, as they look to bring in some mid-season reinforcements in their first campaign back in the Premier League.

But now, Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb (via Sport Witness) claim that Leeds have lost interest in signing Pulgar, at least for this January window. The report claims that moves for the 6 foot 2 ace and Udinese midfielder could potentially be revisited in the summer.

Huge mistake from Orta

After weeks of speculation about Pulgar’s potential arrival at Elland Road, it appears any move seems dead on the water for now.

And that will no go down too well with Bielsa, who’s had the familiar trouble of not having someone to really step in for Kalvin Phillips whenever needed.

Pascal Struijk has endured a difficult time at Leeds this season, being asked to fill in central defence and then in the holding midfield role too, and Pulgar’s signing would have ensured the Whites had a quality replacement in Phillips’ absence.

Speaking earlier this month, Darrent Bent spoke of just how difficult it is for someone to cover for Phillips. He said: “It is a unique role, and you think who else can they get in that position who can do the job effectively. The answer to that is no one. He’s that good of a player that it’s hard to replace him. You don’t just get players like that, it’s not that easy.”

In Pulgar, Bielsa would have had the perfect man to do the job. As well as making more than a tackle and interception a piece, he’s supremely composed on the ball, boasting an 86% pass accuracy. All of those key stats compare favourably with Phillips, who whilst he makes more than an extra tackle than Pulgar, has the exact same pass accuracy per match.

Leeds and Victor Orta will just be hoping that Phillips can stay injury free until the end of the season. At the moment, the club’s stance on Pulgar seems to be a huge blunder, and Bielsa certainly won’t be happy about it.

Meanwhile, this Leeds United ace is facing an uncertain time at Elland Road…
