Aston Villa forward Keinan Davis has moved to Nottingham Forest on loan until the end of the season.

The move was officially confirmed by Villa on Saturday evening, and as to be expected, a number of supporters were quick to give their thoughts to the news.

Davis, who saw a temporary move to Stoke City fall through last summer due to injury, has played just 11 Premier League minutes this season. He will now get the chance to play regular senior football in the Championship under Steve Cooper, with Forest looking to break into the play-off picture in the second half of the campaign.

Davis will be looking to improve on his goalscoring record at the City Ground, with the 23-year-old scoring just six times in 86 appearances as a Villa player.

A nova fornecedora de material esportivo, porém, não estará presente em todos os esportes do Botafogo. Com contrato assinado para os uniformes do futebol masculino e feminino, a marca italiana não assinará as camisas de basquete e vôlei. Na próxima temporada, os times masculinos do Glorioso estarão na elite do NBB – inclusive, participando da Liga Sul-Americana – e da Superliga.

Este panorama foi uma opção do Botafogo. Inicialmente, a intenção da Kappa era assinar os uniformes dos esportes olímpicos, mas o clube travou este fator nos últimos detalhes do contrato. Desta forma, as camisas das equipes de basquete e vôlei terão uma marca própria, desenvolvida pelo Alvinegro.

A ideia do departamento de marketing do Botafogo é começar a desenvolver uma ideia de ter uma marca própria forte. As novas camisas estarão prontas até setembro e o clube estuda, por questões envolvendo o custo das camisas, em montar uma linha popular, com preços mais baratos. Com a Topper, o uniforme de basquete custava R$ 199,90.

With just two weeks left for the start of the IPL, many franchises are yet to finalise deals with sponsors. Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Daredevils, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore are understood to be the five franchises that have been unable to close deals, including finding a front-chest sponsor, a valuable space where the brand is most prominently displayed on the shirt front.Brand experts predicted a “tough year”, claiming the franchises will suffer a deep cut of 20% in their sponsorship revenues, which will be exacerbated by the loss in ticket revenues as a result of the first phase of the tournament being played in the UAE.Uncertainty over the venue for the second-half of the IPL, the economic slowdown, clash with the federal elections, and the controversies that have emanated from the corruption scandal during last year’s IPL are factors that have affected sponsorships.According to Mohit Burman, one of the Kings XI owners, as soon as the IPL announced the first 20 matches would be played in the UAE, sponsors sent a warning signal. “One of our sponsors, Lux Cozy, decided to not renew a three-year deal,” Burman said. “They pulled out immediately. This year is sort of a mess. The uncertainty over the venues did hamper us. First they said it could be one of – or a combination of – South Africa, UAE and Bangladesh as the overseas venue due to the elections. Now we still do not know where the second part will be held. As it is, the market is soft, and due to the recent controversies it has had an impact on the franchise costs.”Burman agreed that the overall revenues this season will be significantly lesser than previous seasons. “The gate money would be reduced, the sponsorship would be reduced, there are fewer teams so the central revenue would be also be reduced.”According to a franchise chief executive, the enthusiasm among sponsors for the IPL is not the same as it was in the first five years. “It is very difficult to get sponsorships. The IPL has taken a big beating. Everybody is negotiating – there is a massive decrease in sponsorship costs,” the franchise CEO said. This CEO said he had been trying to close deals over the past month but the sponsors, mainly local, were not keen.Yet, the CEO remained optimistic. “We are in advance talks with a bunch of people. [But] the market has been bad,” he said. According to him, during the last meeting the IPL had with franchises in Chennai last month, they were told that a definite schedule would be announced in a few weeks. “The second-half schedule has not come in yet. People are still waiting. If somebody wants to spend big bucks would they just bet blindly? So you need a schedule to plan the stuff, budget depending on where the matches are.”The front-chest sponsorship is worth anywhere between Rs10 crore ($1.67m) to 20 crore per season. Muthoot Finance did not renew their three-year contract with Daredevils; Ultratech Cements brought to an end a long-running relationship with Royals; and Kings XI, who had two different sponsors after Emirates pulled out in 2011, is understood to have failed to find a sponsor for even one of the six advertising slots available on a team shirt.According to the CEO the local sponsors’ biggest challenge is building brand engagement when matches are set to be held overseas. “Say some of my home matches are being played outside due to the clash of the elections, my sponsor today is not sure whether he wants to advertise outside. It is not about the TV logo anymore. It is also about activating in the local market,” he said. “This is becoming ridiculous. I hope they release the [final] schedule.”Brand experts agree it is going to be a gruelling summer for franchises with an estimated minimum cut of 20% in the sponsorship costs. “That is a serious cut. Moreover there will also be impact on the gate revenues with the first phase being played overseas. It is going to be a tough year,” said Vinit Karnik, a top official at GroupM ESP, media planning agency.Karnik said had predicted a year ago that sponsorship costs were likely to go down, and not because of the scheduling issues. “This is a peculiar year. When IPL started in 2008 most of the franchises had inked three-year deals and some had signed five-year contracts with sponsors. Most of the big deals were for three years, which got renewed for another three years and re-opened in the seventh year. The five-year deals were extended by a year. So the seventh year [2014] was the year of a lot of supply, where most of the franchises’ deals were up for renewal. It is a typical demand-supply situation. If there are eight teams and there are on an average six to eight assets [sponsors] it means about 50-60 assets open in the market.”

A uma semana da eleição presidencial do Vasco, uma nova união da oposição entre candidaturas movimentou o cenário político na noite desta segunda-feira. Na casa portuguesa Vila da Feira, localizada no bairro da Tijuca, Zona Norte do Rio de Janeiro, ocorreu a convenção final do então candidato Alexandre Campello, da Frente Vasco Livre, onde ele retirou a candidatura para apoiar Julio Brant, da Sempre Vasco. Forma-se, assim, a chapa “Sempre Vasco Livre”. A eleição acontece na terça-feira da semana que vem.

Nesta nova chapa, Julio Brant segue como candidato à presidência. Alexandre Campello concorre agora como vice-presidente desta nova composição. Nelson Sendas, então nome de vice de Brant, conforme o LANCE! mostrou há duas semanas com exclusividade, abriu mão do cargo em prol da união e, agora, será o segundo vice. Cerca de 700 pessoas estiveram no salão onde aconteceu o evento, que contou com a presença, além de Brant e Campello, dos ex-jogadores cruz-maltinos Pedrinho, Felipe e Mauro Galvão.

– O desejo dos vascaínos motivou essa união. Para termos uma gestão de transparência. Precisamos disso no Vasco. Essa união possibilitará a nossa vitória. Há um alinhamento entre eu e o Brant com as propostas para o Vasco. Observamos que sozinhos não conseguiríamos a vitória. Juntos vamos vencer. Isso norteará esta reta final – afirmou Campello após o evento aos jornalistas presentes.

– Chegamos em 7 de novembro favoritos para vencer a eleição. Juntando os dois, eu e o Campello, a vitória é certa. A renovação que queremos é dar visão para o Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama. Teremos uma cédula verde e amarela na eleição justamente para mostrarmos essa união, essa solidificação, uma coisa inédita na história do Vasco. É um Vasco antes e depois do dia de hoje – ressaltou Brant.

Esta união vem sendo discutida há algumas semanas. Alguns ajustes de cargos precisaram ser vistos em prol do êxito das conversas. Vale lembrar que é a segunda junção de candidaturas neste processo eleitoral do Vasco. Antes, Otto Carvalho, do grupo Ao Vasco Tudo, já tinha retirado sua candidatura para apoiar Fernando Horta (Mudança com Segurança). Novas uniões até 7 de novembro, dia da eleição, não estão descartadas. A tendência é que seja o caminho seguido por Antonio Fernandes, do Novos Rumos. Pela situação, Eurico Miranda tenta a reeleiçao com a chapa Reconstruindo o Vasco.

تحدث محمد محمود لاعب فريق الكرة بالأهلي عن رأيه وانطباعاته حول مارسيل كولر المدير الفني للقلعة الحمراء، موجها رسالة للجماهير في الفترة المقبلة.

وقال محمد محمود في تصريحات للموقع الرسمي للأهلي: “كولر مدير فني كبير يجيد التعامل مع اللاعبين، وهدفه تطوير الأداء الجماعي للفريق، وحديثه معنا مريح للغاية”.

وتابع: “هو دائمًا ما يؤكد أن اللاعب الأفضل والأكثر قدرة على تنفيذ التعليمات هو الذي سيكون له دور في المشاركة مع الفريق خلال الموسم المقبل، بصرف النظر عن السن أو حجم الموهبة التي يمتلكها، فلابد أن يكون مؤثرا في جماعية الفريق،وكل هذه الانطباعات تدعو للتفاؤل لما يسعى لتقديمه”.

وأكمل: “المنافسة الشديدة والشريفة بين جميع اللاعبين ليس في مركزه فقط، والجميع يسعى لتقديم أفضل ما لديهم من أجل الأهلي، وهذا أمر إيجابي ويصب في مصلحة الفريق”.

وعن علاقته بـ”السوشيال ميديا”، أجاب: “أنا غير متفاعل بشكل جيد مع مواقع التواصل، وأهتم فقط بصور المران بعض الأوقات، ولكن تركيزي الأكبر داخل الملعب من خلال التدريبات وبرنامجي الغذائي وأجواء الفريق، وأقضي وقت فراغه في متابعة برنامجه الغذائي ولعب البلايستيشن”.

وتحدث محمد محمود عن إصابته بقطع في الرباط الصليبي للمرة الثانية والتي وصفها بأنها واحدة من أصعب لحظات حياته، وكان لها مردود نفسي سيء عليه وعلى أسرته فور علمه بالخبر، ولكنه تدارك الأمر سريعًا، خصوصا بعد الدعم الكبير الذي وجده من الأهلي وجماهيره التي تكدست أمام منزله بشكل مفاجئ لدعمه ومؤازرته.

وفي ختام حديثه، وجّه محمد محمود الشكر لجماهير الأهلي على الدعم والمؤازرة ودورهم المؤثر في مسيرة الفريق دائما وقال: “نعدكم أن مفيش بطولة هتضيع مننا”.
